Bahut time ho gaya comment kiye! This is one of my all time favourite songs, and i am just noticing that even the song I like the most was written by Sahir Ludhianvi with Dev Anand as the actor (you will find it next in the series!).

Coming back to this song, masst hai na? Optimistic ekdum. Conveys certain very basic fundas about how not to get threatened by the bully, life. Zindagi, the cause of all ***, has not spared this optimistic person's life too. But the way he handles them is simply superb!

The first two paras are in a way similar, conveying the simple idea of how to forget things that are not in our control.

(Barbaadiyon ka jashn manaata chala gaya)
Most of us tend to sink in the sadness of failure and in the process, lose a lot of our time which we could have used to make another effort for the same or some other task. But he doesnt do that. He instead celebrates his failure and probably it helps him to relieve the undue pressure of failure.

(Jo kho gaya main usko bhulaata chala gaya)
We even tend to perceive things coming our way as some unwanted things, not equivalent in any terms to the ones which we desire. And so do not give cent percent to them. But he has a different view. He considers the things coming his way as the ones he was supposed to get, his fate, and forgets the ones which he might have desired. Seems difficult? To me too :) Let's try it out sometime...

And the last para! I just love this para. I have experienced it myself and trust me, it helps! Its not about being indifferent to things or not feeling things. Its actually about feeling the two feelings of joy and sorrow with equal magnitude and somewhere uniting the two, so that no difference is felt between the two.

After all, I feel therefore I am. Do not allow yourself to ignore things and not feel certain things. Allow yourself to feel. But make sure you understand the feeling. Life is a journey, a journey towards death. We never know how short the road we have been given might be. But let's enjoy the journey.

Main zindagi ka saath nibhaataa chala gaya! Har fikr ko dhuen mein udaata chalaa gayaa!

Very profound Nishchal! You should do vipassana/ some kind of yoga/ meditation that attracts you. Some thoughts- 1) If you have chosen truth as the goal, what does happiness or sadness matter? Failure and victory are just places that come and go on your path to the truth. 2) If you have chosen truth as the goal, all material that you are presented with (situations) are good raw material for you. A yogi welcomes all situations. A situation by itself can never be as painful as our non-acceptance of that situation i.e. our struggling against the reality of what has happened is painful, and NOT useful...because it denies reality. So Life is not a bully... it is a loving teacher who presents you with what you need for your growth 3) Feel everything, feel it as intensely as you can....but remember that verbalization is not reality, is not life, true feeling is not 'thinking about things'. Free feeling from conceptualization...and you will have sensation and energy...real life. How will you multiply sadness or anger when it becomes pure energy/ sensation?
